January 2023 – Update from Trueway Kids

Welcome to our first update of 2023! It is such a privilege to be able to share with you some of the exciting things God is doing through Trueway Kids

First, we want to start by expressing our gratitude for all the prayers and support that you have provided for Trueway Kids. We are so thankful for your commitment to help children around the world study the Bible and grow in faith and it’s an honour to serve with you.

Thankfulness for 2022

As we step into 2023, we can’t help but look back at the amazing journey we’ve had in 2022 and thank God for his faithfulness. In 2022, we saw an incredible 7,798,948 people from all over the world visit Trueway kids to download resources and lessons. This is up from 4,271,313 in 2021. We are so grateful to God for using our lessons to reach children in 231 countries and areas around the world, with lessons available in 36 different languages.

Teen Bible Lessons

In 2022, we started creating Bible lessons for teens, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. As a result, one of our primary objectives this year is to finish a full Old Testament curriculum for teens. We have already shared the first four lessons on Creation through Noah. This year, we are also including video versions of the studies in English. We will be adding one lesson each week, and we are excited to see how God will use these lessons to reach and encourage teens.

Weekly lesson and translations

It is such a joy to share that each Friday, we are able to bring our weekly lesson to children all around the world in 26 different languages. We are also able to share the weekly lesson in four age groups for multiple languages. As we journey together through the Old Testament, it has been a massive blessing to see how God’s word is spreading and transforming the hearts and lives of so many.

Bonus Bible Lessons

In addition to our regular curriculum, this year we are introducing bonus Bible lessons every two weeks. These lessons will fill in the gaps in our current curriculum and give children a much more comprehensive understanding of the Bible. Thank you to all who have requested lessons, and we will be prioritizing your requests in the coming months. 

Holiday Club Programs  (VBS)

Last year, we launched two Holiday Club (VBS) programs, Sea Explorers and World Football (Soccer) Champions, and the response was truly inspiring. We received feedback from people around the world, especially in Africa and Latin America, who used the programs and saw hundreds of children respond to the Gospel.

New VBS – Big Top Bible Heroes (COMING SOON)

In response, we are excited to be launching two new VBS programs this year. 

The first is called “Big Top Bible Heroes,” a circus-themed program exploring characters from the Bible. 

This program will have 8 sessions that can be used as a VBS or as weekly sessions, and it is packed with resources such as Bible study outlines, games, drama scripts, worksheets, crafts, and more.

Improved Emailing Services

As our weekly lesson continues to grow in popularity, we are transitioning our emailing service to accommodate our ever-growing list of subscribers. Our current email sending service couldn’t handle the number of emails, causing some subscribers to miss out on their weekly lessons. We have already moved Portuguese and Afrikaans over to the new provider, and the service is far superior to what we had before. Over the next few months, we will be gradually transitioning our other languages to ensure the best possible experience and manage the increased costs.

Prayer Resources for Kids

We realize the importance of helping children develop their prayer life. So, we’ve started creating new prayer resources specifically for kids. These prayers help children put their thoughts into words. They are filled with scripture verses, which we believe is essential for growing a child’s faith.

To make the prayers more engaging, we’ve added beautiful and relevant images to accompany them in a video format. The videos are set to soothing music and will help children focus on the prayers. For those who prefer to read, we’ve also made the prayers available in a word format. These prayers are a great way for kids to get in the habit of talking to God and expressing their thoughts and feelings.
