JANUARY UPDATE 2026

“So, the word of the Lord spread widely and grew in power.” — Acts 19:20

As we come of the end of January, our hearts are full of gratitude for the Lord’s kindness during this first month of 2026. Each month we’re reminded that this is truly God’s work. We’re thankful for all He’s done already this year, and hopeful for what’s still ahead.

TRUEWAY BABIES

This year, we began sharing lessons from Trueway Babies, a new resource created to spiritually nurture children from birth to age two. Our heart is to help churches and families move beyond “babysitting” and into discipleship — helping even the youngest children experience God’s love through gentle, consistent care.

Each lesson is built around the Four S’s:

Sign (simple sign language, including words like God and Jesus),
Song (familiar tunes with strong, age-appropriate truth),
Sensory (hands-on experiences connecting faith to everyday life), and
Speak (intentionally speaking words of faith over babies).

Lessons are designed for two age groups: Observers (0–6 months) using high-contrast cards, and Explorers (6–24 months) using colour story cards.

Every lesson includes a mat card, song, sensory activity, faith phrase, prayer, and take-home cards for families. The full Trueway Babies resource is being developed week by week for release in 2026.

TRUEWAY WORD – A BIBLE JOURNEY FOR PRETEENS (8–13)

We’ve also been sharing Trueway Word, our new preteen resource — we’re four lessons in. It has been so encouraging to see how warmly it has been received and so many using it.

Trueway Word is designed for that gap: a two-year journey through the Old and New Testaments that is creative, thought-provoking, and firmly rooted in Scripture. It’s built around a simple framework: W.O.R.D. Walk – Step into God’s Word, Observe – Notice what it says, Reflect – Ask what it means and Discover – Live it out

EASTER JOURNEYS – FREE 5-PART EASTER SERIES

We’ve just released our newest Easter series: Easter Journeys, a free five-part Bible adventure that walks children step by step through the true story of Easter. Each session follows Jesus through the key moments of Easter: Jerusalem → The Upper Room → Gethsemane → Golgotha → The Empty Tomb

Every journey points to God’s plan of salvation and leads to the greatest truth of all: Jesus gave His life for us — and He is alive forever.

TRUEWAY LITE – REMOVING BARRIERS TO THE GOSPEL

We’re also thankful to share a major step forward on one of our most important and unexpected projects for 2026: Trueway Lite.

Around the world, many teachers have smartphones, but printing PDFs is expensive or impossible. Even when our resources are free, the barriers remain: safety risks, logistical limits, and high costs. We’ve heard sobering stories like these:

The Security Barrier
“Traveling to rural villages with boxes of printed Christian books draws unwanted attention. At checkpoints, they search our bags. We need a way to teach without physically carrying materials that put our workers in danger.” — S, Nigeria

The Logistics Barrier
“To reach the tribes, I take a small boat for hours and then trek on foot. I simply cannot carry heavy stacks of paper with me. Once we arrive, there is no electricity, no internet, and certainly no printer.” — M, Peru

The Cost Barrier
“Ink is very expensive here. Every Saturday, I sit in an internet cafe and write the story out by hand. I even put paper over the screen to trace the colouring pictures just so the children have something to see.” — J, South East Asia

Trueway Lite is being built as an offline-first, low-data, mobile web app: a “digital teacher’s backpack” that makes it possible to teach without carrying stacks of paper, without streaming large files, and with far less risk in sensitive regions.

We’ve been testing the app with users around the world on different devices, and we’re grateful to say the core system is now working well. That means we’re ready to begin adding more English content inside the app and then move into translations so that more leaders can access lessons with where needed and with ease.

• Our volunteer translators, and for new translation partnerships where the need is great
