Acts 9:1–19

Trueway Baby Bible lesson for ages 0–2

About This Baby Bible Lesson

This free printable Baby Bible lesson gently introduces babies and toddlers to the Bible passage about Saul meeting Jesus in Acts 9:1–19. Saul is travelling along the road when a bright light shines from heaven. Jesus speaks to him, Saul falls to the ground, and afterward he cannot see. A kind friend prays for him, Saul can see again, and his life is changed.

Through simple words, repeated actions, music, sensory play, and visual learning, little ones begin to learn one clear truth: Jesus changes my heart.

Designed especially for ages 0–2, this lesson focuses on connection, repetition, and early faith formation. Babies experience the Bible passage through movement, light, simple signs, high-contrast cards, visual tracking, prayer actions, and loving interaction.

The lesson presents the passage through simple action cards, including patting the knees to represent Saul walking along the road, raising the hands for the bright light, dropping the hands when Saul falls to the ground, pointing upward when Jesus speaks, gently covering the eyes when Saul cannot see, making prayer hands as a kind friend prays, opening the eyes wide when Saul can see again, and placing hands over the heart to remember that Jesus can change our hearts too.

The lesson also includes a Flashlight Tracking sensory activity. An adult gently moves a small, low-lumen flashlight beam across the floor or wall for babies to follow with their eyes while hearing how Saul saw a bright light from heaven. The lesson includes clear safety guidance that the light should never be shone into a baby’s eyes or face.

Watch & Sing Along

“Jesus Met Saul on the Road”

Optional tune: Mary Had a Little Lamb

Jesus met Saul on the road,
On the road, on the road.
Jesus met Saul on the road,
And showed him what was true.

Jesus, come and change my heart,
Change my heart, change my heart.
Jesus, come and change my heart,
And help me follow You.

Singing together supports bonding, rhythm, early language development, movement, and repetition of the lesson’s key truth.

Parent Take-Home Connection

The parent take-home sheet reminds families that their child learned: Jesus has amazing power to change our lives.

It includes simple home ideas such as Name Game, softly calling the child by name and reminding them that Jesus knows and loves them, and Path Line, making a simple floor path with painter’s tape for toddlers to trace or clean from beginning to end.
