About This Preteen Bible Lesson

This free printable Bible lesson helps preteens explore Acts 6:1–7, where the growing early church faces a real problem: some widows are being overlooked when food is shared. The apostles recognise that the need matters, but they also know they cannot do every task themselves. The church chooses seven men, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, to serve so that different needs can be met and the whole church can continue growing.

Are some jobs more important than others?

Acts 6 shows that different roles can carry different responsibilities without making one person more valuable than another. The apostles needed to focus on prayer and teaching, while others were chosen to make sure widows were cared for well.

This lesson helps preteens understand that every faithful act of service matters to God. Some roles may be more visible than others, but God gives different gifts and responsibilities so His people can work together and build up the Church.
