Luke 17:11–19
Trueway Baby Bible lesson for ages 0–2
About This Baby Bible Lesson
This free printable Baby Bible lesson gently introduces babies and toddlers to the Bible passage in Luke 17:11–19, where Jesus heals ten men who were sick, and one man comes back to say thank you. Through simple words, repeated actions, music, sensory play, and visual learning, little ones begin to learn one clear truth: I can say thank you.
Designed especially for ages 0–2, this lesson focuses on connection, repetition, and early faith formation. Babies experience the Bible passage through movement, sound, touch, facial expression, and loving interaction, helping them begin to associate Jesus with kindness, healing, thankfulness, and care.
The lesson introduces The Ten Lepers through simple action cards, including ten sick men, the men calling out to Jesus, Jesus making them well, one man coming back, and the man saying, “Thank You, Jesus!” Through these repeated interactions, babies begin to learn that Jesus is good and that we can respond with thanks.
The lesson also includes a hands-on “Thank You Flash Cards” sensory activity, where babies look at, point to, or gently touch bright picture cards of everyday things such as people, a tree, a bird, or an animal. As each card is shown, caregivers repeat a simple thank-you phrase such as, “Thank you, God, for the tree!” This gentle activity helps babies practise gratitude through sight, touch, and repeated words.

Watch & Sing Along
“Jesus Made Them Well”
(Optional Tune: London Bridge is Falling Down)
Jesus made the sick men well,
Sick men well, sick men well.
Jesus made the sick men well,
Thank You, Jesus!
Only one came back to Him,
Back to Him, back to Him.
Only one came back to Him,
Thank You, Jesus!
Singing together supports bonding, rhythm, and early language development while reinforcing the key truth of the lesson.
Parent Take-Home Connection
The parent take-home sheet reminds families that their child learned: Jesus heals. I can say THANK YOU!
It also includes simple at-home activities such as “Sick Bear,” where parents take a favourite stuffed animal or teddy bear and pretend it is not well, then give the bear a gentle hug or pat. This helps little ones connect with the idea of care and healing in a simple, age-appropriate way.
Families are also encouraged to try a “Thank You Walk,” either outside or around the house. Parents can point to things they see and practise saying thank you to God for them. This helps babies and toddlers connect gratitude with everyday life through simple words, movement, and repetition.
The take-home sheet also encourages families to practise the sign for “Thank You” and sing the lesson song together throughout the week, helping babies remember that Jesus is good and we can say thank you.
