In a land far away, wise men were studying the stars.

All of a sudden, a new star appeared in the sky. It was very bright!

“What do you think it means,” they asked.

“It must be for a special king,” they said. They left home and followed the star.

They packed some expensive gifts and road their camels all the way to Israel.

When they arrived, they went to the palace and spoke to King Herod. But he was not the special king.

King Herod was worried. He didn’t want another king living in his country and taking his place.
