Judges 4

Trueway Baby Bible lesson for ages 0–2

About This Baby Bible Lesson

This free printable Baby Bible lesson gently introduces babies and toddlers to the Bible account in Judges 4, where Deborah listened to God, helped His people, and encouraged them to trust Him. Through simple words, repeated actions, music, sensory play, and visual learning, little ones begin to learn one clear truth: I can help.

Designed especially for ages 0–2, this lesson focuses on connection, repetition, and early faith formation. Babies experience the Bible through movement, sound, touch, facial expression, and loving interaction, helping them discover that God helps us and that we can help others too.

The lesson introduces Deborah through simple action cards, including Deborah sitting under a palm tree, helping people, listening to God, encouraging others, and seeing God help His people. Through these repeated interactions, babies begin to associate God with strength, care, and help.

The lesson also includes a hands-on “Soft Leaves” sensory activity, where babies explore large fabric leaves while learning about the palm tree where Deborah sat. This gentle sensory experience encourages curiosity and interaction while reinforcing the lesson theme in an age-appropriate way.

Watch & Sing Along

“I Can Be a Helper”

(Optional Tune: London Bridge is Falling Down)

I can be a helper now,
Helper now, helper now.
I can be a helper now,
Yes, I can!

God will make me very strong,
Very strong, very strong.
God will make me very strong,
To help my friends!

Singing together supports bonding, rhythm, and early language development while reinforcing the key truth of the lesson.

Parent Take-Home Connection

The parent take-home sheet reminds families that their child learned: God helps ME and I can help others.

It also includes simple at-home activities such as “Under the Tree,” where families create a small blanket tent and sit quietly together while remembering Deborah sitting under the palm tree to listen to God. Another activity, “Helper Time,” encourages toddlers to complete a simple helping task such as putting away a toy or handing over a clean sock during laundry time.

The take-home sheet also encourages families to practise the sign for “Help” and sing the lesson song together throughout the week, helping babies remember the lesson through repetition and everyday interaction.
