Welcome to lesson one – God made everything. Thank you for having the desire to help your child explore the Bible and enjoy God. Each week this coming year I will be producing one lesson to do with my three-year-old son, and it is my pleasure to share this with you.
Bible lesson
This weeks lesson covers the account of creation taken from Genesis 1. I would encourage you to sit down with your child and the Bible and either read the story to them or paraphrase it in a way that they will understand.
Personally, I believe that this is the best way as it introduces your child to
That said, there are great resources available to help children understand the Bible and where possible I will include a link to help. This week I used this video from Saddleback kids. It’s 3:48 minutes long
Activities
Please pick and choose the activities that follow to suit your needs. Split them throughout the week to reinforce the lesson or mix activities for a selected time slot.
Please think of these resources as a toolkit.
Each activity hopefully supports the Biblical lesson and education development. During this weeks craft activity, you will need to allow some time for paint to dry. Either paint plates at the start of the session, use other activities to fill in drying time or split over different days.

Hi
I never try your website yet but it look good. I have 5 years old and i always struggle to find the best way to introduce Bibble in a fun way. So i would like to try this first. As it is starting new year, its best time to start from Genesis.
Songs, hymns, crafts, pictures, videos are good.
Thank you.
Linda
Hi Linda, Thanks so much for leaving a comment. I have a three-year-old boy and it is my goal this year to teach him the Bible in a fun and interesting way. Each week this year I will be uploading a new lesson from the Old Testament so that by the end of the year, we would have read all the Old Testament. By sharing online it will help us to be accountable and not give up. Thank you for your encouragement. Blessings, Jon
Thank you for sharing your ideas with us. My son will be two in April. I am excited to add these lessons into our daily routine.
Thanks so much, Shawna. It’s encouraging to know that they are helping others. I will be uploading the second lesson tomorrow. Hope you and your son have fun doing the lessons. My three-year-old really enjoyed this week. Blessings, Jon
Hi,
Thank you SO much for this! One website with everything I was looking for! My son is also 3 and I stumbled upon your website by chance (or grand design 😉 ) while looking for fun ways to teach him about the bible and Jesus. I was wondering about memorization verses, are you doing them? I would like a specific verse for memorization to go along with each week. I also wanted to know if there was anything else you were incorporating- specifically, are you reading the bible along the way? I am new to all this. Thanks so much, again! 🙂
Hi Jessica, Thanks for your message and glad that you are finding the lessons helpful. We also only began at the beginning of the year, with a desire to help our son learn the Bible. The lessons have developed a little each week to better meet our need and the need of others. To begin, we would simply teach him a key verse from the passage, but it wasn’t included in the lesson. In the more recent lessons, I’ve included the memory verse in different forms, eg. In the craft, or a sorting worksheet, or coloring page etc
In regards to reading the Bible along the way. This is always the starting point. I always recommend reading the passage to your child from the Bible first, then supporting with the lesson. It’s important that our children learn these are accounts from God’s Word and not just stories.
Our lessons will cover the Old Testament over this year (2019). We usually split the passage up over the week into small parts in our reading.
Hope this helps. I may upload an article soon on ways to memorize Bible verse.

Hi !! I’m Pearly & I’m from India. I just cant thank you enough for these resources. These are excellent! We have a kids school every week & these resources are such a great help !! Thank you so much & God Bless you 😊
I love your website! I put together lesson plans for our elementary kids at church. We started using your lesson plans for preschoolers for home lessons during the pandemic to supplement the lessons I put together for elementary kids. They didn’t require much preparation for parents and are so good for preschoolers (and their older siblings). We are now using them for children’s worship classes as well as some still meeting at home.
I’m glad to see the expanded lesson plans for elementary children. What a blessing to us! May God bless you for all you do!
Greetings from Oregon in the United Stated.
Thank you so much. It is such a blessing to know the lessons are helping with your preschoolers! Blessings!
