Joshua 1; Joshua 24:15

Trueway Baby Bible lesson for ages 0–2

About This Baby Bible Lesson

This free printable Baby Bible lesson gently introduces babies and toddlers to Joshua, the new leader of God’s people. Through simple words, repeated actions, high-contrast visuals, music, and sensory play, little ones begin to learn one clear truth: My house loves God.

Designed especially for ages 0–2, this lesson focuses on connection, repetition, and early faith formation. Babies experience the Bible passage through movement, sound, touch, family language, and loving interaction—helping them begin to connect their home, family, and daily life with loving and serving God.

The lesson introduces Joshua through simple action cards, including Joshua becoming the new leader, God telling him to be strong, Joshua loving God with his whole heart, Joshua saying that his house would serve the Lord, and the reminder that families can love, serve, and talk to God at home.

The lesson also includes a “House Building” sensory activity, where children use soft foam blocks or cardboard boxes to build a simple house and place toy people inside. This hands-on activity helps babies and toddlers connect the idea of home with the key phrase: My house loves God.

Watch & Sing Along

“Serve, Serve, Serve the Lord”
(Optional Tune: Row, Row, Row Your Boat)

Serve, serve, serve the Lord,
Every single day.
As for me and my house,
We will choose His way.

Singing together supports bonding, rhythm, and early language development while reinforcing the key truth of the lesson.

Parent Take-Home Connection

The parent take-home sheet reminds families that their child learned: God was with Joshua and his family. We can choose to make our home a place where we love and serve God.

It also includes simple at-home activities such as a “House Tour,” where families walk through each room and say that God is with them there, and “Family House Painting,” where children fill a simple house outline with bright colours to represent love. These simple activities help parents continue the Bible lesson naturally through play, repetition, and everyday family rhythms.
