2 Kings 5:1–14

Trueway Baby Bible lesson for ages 0–2

About This Baby Bible Lesson

This free printable Baby Bible lesson gently introduces babies and toddlers to the Bible passage about Naaman in 2 Kings 5:1–14. Naaman was a strong soldier, but he became very sick. A helper told him about God, and Elisha told him to wash in the river. Naaman obeyed, dipped in the water seven times, and God made his skin clean.

Through simple words, repeated actions, music, sensory play, and visual learning, little ones begin to learn one clear truth: God heals me.

Designed especially for ages 0–2, this lesson focuses on connection, repetition, and early faith formation. Babies experience the Bible passage through movement, counting, simple signs, high-contrast cards, water-themed sensory play, and loving interaction.

The lesson presents the passage through simple action cards, including sitting tall to represent Naaman as a strong soldier, making a sad face when he is sick, pointing upward when a helper tells him about God, patting the knees as Naaman travels to Elisha, making gentle dipping motions for the river, counting to seven, clapping when God makes Naaman’s skin clean, and giving a caring hug to remember that God takes care of us.

The lesson also includes a Squishy River Bags sensory activity. Babies and toddlers can press, pat, and squish securely sealed blue water bags with large colourful foam shapes inside while hearing how Naaman dipped in the river.

Watch & Sing Along

“Naaman Washed Seven Times”

Optional tune: London Bridge Is Falling Down

Naaman washed seven times,
Seven times, seven times.
Naaman washed seven times,
God made him clean.

Singing together supports bonding, rhythm, early language development, counting, movement, and repetition of the lesson’s key truth.

Parent Take-Home Connection

The parent take-home sheet reminds families that their child learned: God is our wonderful Healer who makes us well.

It includes simple home ideas such as Sponge-Squeeze, using the Wash sign while dipping and squeezing a sponge in water, and Wet Wipes, gently wiping washable dots from a baby doll or laminated body outline while remembering that Naaman obeyed God’s message and God made him clean.
