Acts 2:1–41

Trueway Baby Bible lesson for ages 0–2

About This Baby Bible Lesson

This free printable Baby Bible lesson gently introduces babies and toddlers to the Bible passage about Pentecost in Acts 2:1–41. Jesus’ friends were together when a sound like a rushing wind filled the house, what looked like flames appeared above them, and God sent the Holy Spirit. The disciples then spoke so that people could hear about Jesus, and many began to follow Him.

Through simple words, repeated actions, music, sensory play, and visual learning, little ones begin to learn one clear truth: The Holy Spirit helps me.

Designed especially for ages 0–2, this lesson focuses on connection, repetition, and early faith formation. Babies experience the Bible passage through movement, sound, simple signs, high-contrast cards, sensory play, and loving interaction.

The lesson presents the passage through simple action cards, including sitting quietly with folded hands, making a soft “whoosh” sound for the rushing wind, wiggling fingers above the head like flames, using the Help sign when God sends the Holy Spirit, pointing to the mouth as the disciples speak, cupping a hand behind the ear as the crowd listens, clapping as people begin to follow Jesus, and using a circular arm movement to remember that God’s Helper is always with us.

The lesson also includes a Streamers sensory activity. Babies can watch and reach toward short red, yellow, and orange ribbons securely attached to a cardboard ring or paper plate centre while an adult gently moves them to create a soft breeze and remind children of the wind and flame imagery at Pentecost.

Watch & Sing Along

“Holy Spirit, Help Me Too”

Optional tune: Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star

Wind came rushing, flames were bright,
God gave power, God gave light.
Holy Spirit, help me too,
Love and speak and follow You.
Wind came rushing, flames were bright,
God gave power, God gave light.

Singing together supports bonding, rhythm, early language development, and repetition of the lesson’s key truth.

Parent Take-Home Connection

The parent take-home sheet reminds families that their child learned: The Holy Spirit is our special Helper.

It includes simple home ideas such as Sensory Wind Play, using a paper plate or handheld fan to create a gentle breeze while remembering the rushing wind at Pentecost, and The Helper Game, practising the Help sign during ordinary routines such as packing away toys or reaching for something.
