Joshua 2 & 6

Trueway Baby Bible lesson for ages 0–2

About This Baby Bible Lesson

This free printable Baby Bible lesson gently introduces babies and toddlers to the Bible passage in Joshua 2 and 6, where God gave Joshua special instructions for the city of Jericho. Through simple words, repeated actions, high-contrast visuals, music, and sensory play, little ones begin to learn one clear truth: I listen and obey.

Designed especially for ages 0–2, this lesson focuses on connection, repetition, and early faith formation. Babies experience the Bible passage through movement, sound, touch, facial expression, and loving interaction—helping them begin to understand that God is strong, trustworthy, and worthy of our obedience.

The lesson introduces The Battle of Jericho through simple action cards, including Rahab helping the spies, the red rope in her window, Joshua listening to God’s instructions, the people marching around the city walls, the trumpets sounding, the walls falling down, and Rahab’s family being kept safe. Through these repeated experiences, babies begin to learn that God keeps His promises and that listening to Him is always the best way.

The lesson also includes a “The Walls Fall Down” sensory activity, where babies help build a wall from soft blocks or boxes, march around it, blow pretend trumpets, and watch the wall gently fall. This playful hands-on activity helps little ones engage with the Bible passage through movement, repetition, and joyful discovery.

Watch & Sing Along

“If You’re Marching”

(Optional Tune: If You’re Happy and You Know It)

If you’re marching round the wall,
stomp your feet! (stomp stomp)

If you’re marching round the wall,
stomp your feet! (stomp stomp)

Blow the trumpets loud and strong,
Shout for joy and sing a song,

If you’re marching round the wall,
stomp your feet!

Singing together supports bonding, rhythm, and early language development while reinforcing the key truth of the lesson.

Parent Take-Home Connection

The parent take-home sheet reminds families that their child learned: God is powerful. We can listen to His instructions, and He will keep us safe.

It also includes simple at-home activities such as “Block Building,” where children build walls and march around them before knocking them down, and “The Listen Game,” where parents give simple instructions and celebrate good listening.
