Exodus 20

Trueway Baby Bible lesson for ages 0–2

About This Baby Bible Lesson

This free printable Baby Bible lesson introduces babies and toddlers to the Bible passage of the Ten Commandments in Exodus 20. Through simple words, repeated actions, and sensory exploration, little ones begin to understand one clear truth: God’s way is good.

Designed especially for ages 0–2, this lesson focuses on connection, repetition, and early faith development. Babies experience the Bible passage through movement, sound, and loving interaction—helping them feel safe, engaged, and secure.

As shown in the activity pages (pages 4–7), the Bible passage is explored through simple actions like “walking” fingers up a mountain, opening eyes wide in wonder, pretending to write, listening carefully, and smiling with joy. These movements help babies engage physically while beginning to connect with the meaning.

The lesson gently introduces God’s rules not as restrictions, but as loving guidance—helping babies begin to associate God’s Word with goodness, safety, and care.

How This Lesson Works

Trueway Baby lessons are short, gentle, and repeatable. Sessions are flexible and baby-led, allowing caregivers to respond with warmth, comfort, and attentiveness.

• A gentle action song: “Ten Good Rules” (optional tune: London Bridge is Falling Down) (page 1)
• One simple sign action: “Good” (hand movement from lips to palm) to reinforce understanding (page 1)
• A sensory activity: “The Stone Tablets” where babies explore soft “stones” by touching and squeezing (page 1)
• High-contrast visual cards (pages 2–3), including the number 10, stone tablets, a mountain, and a road sign to support early visual development
• Simple action cards retelling the Bible passage with movements like climbing, writing, listening, and celebrating (pages 4–7)
• A short, calming prayer about God’s goodness and guidance (page 1)
• A printable parent take-home sheet with ideas like “Stone Rubbing” and a “Mountain Climb” activity (page 8)

Everything is designed to build repetition, joy, and a secure connection between baby, caregiver, and God.

Watch & Sing Along

“Ten Good Rules”
(Optional Tune: London Bridge is Falling Down)

God gave Moses ten good rules,
Ten good rules, ten good rules.
God gave Moses ten good rules,
Because He loves us!

I will try to do what’s good,
Do what’s good, do what’s good.
I will try to do what’s good,
Every day!

Singing together supports bonding, rhythm, and early language development while reinforcing the key truth of the lesson.
